I've been trying to understand ...Cool thoughts. I've been trying to understand some of my experiences and feelings since being in India, and I've come to a couple of conclusions:<br /><br />1. I'm (and as it relates- you're) a different person now than before you left.<br />2. The differences in perspective that you've gained are not always quantifiable. <br />3. People won't necessarily understand this.<br />4. Picking up the pieces and incorporating your new outlook with your old life is difficult, especially when so little here has changed, and those around you have, essentially, remained stagnant. It's hard. You've changed and people can't always understand that.<br /><br />That's something I've learned. I like what you said here: "Things probably won't go the way you'd hoped when you get back, but it'll be okay because you've had this experience and you're better than you were. Good things will come in time." It's true.
